Design in Progress: Shirt Concepts for a New High School Soccer Team
At Isamar Marketing, some of our most rewarding projects start close to home—and this one began with a new high school being built in our own community.
With one of our team member’s younger brothers joining the school's very first boys' soccer team, we saw an opportunity to help define the look and feel of the program from the beginning. No uniforms, no merchandise, no established brand—just a blank slate.
So we did what we do best: we started sketching.
Exploring Shirt Concepts
The first step was to create a series of shirt mockups that reflected the spirit of a brand-new team. We experimented with typography, layout, and color schemes, making sure the badge design (which the team had just voted on) stood out front and center.
We also had to consider how the back of the shirt would support local sponsors. The challenge was to balance clean design with the practical needs of fundraising and community recognition.
The result? A series of thoughtful, modern designs that positioned the team as something more than "just starting out." These shirts made them look established, united, and ready to compete.
Swipe Through the Mockups
In this post, we’re sharing a look behind the scenes at the designs that were on the table. Some didn’t make the final cut—but they all played a role in shaping the team’s visual identity.
Do you think they made the right choice? We’d love to hear your thoughts.

In Part 2 of this story, we’ll show you how the chosen design came to life on players and families in the community—and how design, when done right, can bring people together.
